I tried drawing tonight but it just wasn’t happening. Too distracted and preoccupied. So in lieu of that, here’s a painting from summer 2004.

I found this napkin doodle in a box of work stuff that had been sitting unopened and unexamined since I got laid off in Aug 2009. I don’t know why I kept it in the first place.

Showing doodles in real life
Last week, I showed the Red Moleskine to someone and got all flustered and shy in the process. *boggle* I guess there’s a big difference between posting to the more-or-less anonymous Internet (and not being particularly sure anyone is listening) and sitting across a coffee table from someone while they flip through the unfiltered versions and all the notes surrounding them.

Hey! This isn’t a doodle! Well, I never said everything would be… I framed this drawing and hung it up in my living room. 7/27/2004

I’m not sure exactly onto what she’s holding. This was doodled while DMing a D&D game on 4/5/2008.

Since this isn’t a doodle on company time, I don’t have to crop out any of the incriminating details. Although this is a doodle from a Pathfinder game session, so maybe that’s incriminating enough on its own… sorry Mr. Skordal, my handwriting never got any better. 2/6/2010
